About Us

My memories of my Nonno (grandfather in Italian) revolve around the garden, the kitchen, and boating. He instilled in me a love for each of those things. I can still smell his bread baking and taste the goodness of his cookies. Whenever I bake, the smells that waft throughout my house remind me of those warm memories and simpler times.

As the years went by, I would dream of opening up a desserts based venture, but the business world became my career. Many years later, I still dreamed of a baking venture. After the coaxing and comments from friends and family that I should use my love and skills of baking for a fulfilling career, I decided that it was time to do just that. With the love and support of family and friends, I embarked on this wonderful journey. Now everyday, I get to be reminded of my own Sweet Nostalgia.

As I looked for a signature look and feel for Sweet Nostalgia, it only seemed fitting that my Nonno and my family be a part of that. How could I honor him and the love for baking that he gave me? How could I be reminded of those warm memories? Pictures seemed to be the answer. The pictures within this website, and within the packaging, are from the family picture albums. See that picture of the man behind the bakery counter? That is my grandfather in his bakery after he moved to the United States with my Nonna, mother and uncle. As for the “signature” picture, that is my Nonno in the middle as a young man in his native hometown of Trieste, Italy .

Now it's your turn. Let us remind you of those simpler and warmer times. Create some new memories of your own. Bring Sweet Nostalgia into your home.
